Creating new customer and Integrator

As a 3dEYE partner, you can create two types of entities within the platform:

  1. Integrator

  2. Customer

Each entity type serves a different purpose in the business structure and has its own creation workflow.

1. Integrator

An Integrator represents a partner organization that can manage its own customers and create additional sub‑integrators. Sub‑integrators operate independently but remain part of your business structure, allowing you to earn profit from the customers they onboard.

⚠️ Note: Only Integrator‑level users can create sub‑integrators.

  • Creating a Sub‑Integrator

Step 1: Select Customer Type

  1. Log in as an Integrator.

  2. Go to the Customers menu.

  3. Click Add.

  4. In the popup window, select Integrator.

Step 2: Set Pricing for the Sub‑Integrator

Enter the storage and traffic rates you want the sub‑integrator to pay. Click Next to continue.

Step 3: Enter Sub‑Integrator Details

Provide the required information, including a valid email address.

A confirmation email will be sent to the sub‑integrator. They cannot access the system until they click Confirm Email in the welcome message.

Step 4: Assign Plans

Select the cloud recording plans you want the sub‑integrator to have access to. Click Create Customer to finalize the setup.

A new sub‑integrator entry will now appear in your customer list.

2. Customer

The second type is the end-user Customer. Usually, we recommend adding the owners of the cameras as Customers to our system. There are certain exceptions to this scenario but in most cases when you have a business or a homeowner who wants to add video monitoring on his property you should create a new Customer account for this owner.

  • Creating a Customer

Step 1: Select Customer Type

  1. Go to the Customers menu.

  2. Click Add.

  3. Select Customer in the popup window.

Step 2: Filling Customer details

Fill in details about the customer and click the "Create" button at the bottom of the page. This will create a new entry in the list of your customer.

At the time of Customer creation, you can also set the default cloud recording settings for the Customer account. You can also decide if the customer should have access to the Admin portal or if the customer can share the camera's Link or not. Customers can also be provided with a temporary password for the first time and then they can choose their own password.

Step 3: Billing Details

Fill in the billing details for the customer, 3dEYE system will automatically create an invoice according to your decided rate for the customer if the Integrator chooses the Billing mode as automatic.

You can also select if the invoice should include the tax in it or not.

Step 4: Restricting Access

By default, this customer will have access to all modules of our system except the ability to add a P&P camera. You can control access to any of the features for every customer individually. Restrictions will apply to all users of the selected customer, but won't affect any other customers.

If you "Disable' the customer this will stop all cameras that belong to this customer from being recorded and restrict access to all systems for all users under this customer.

When you re-enable a customer all of his cameras will become enabled as well, so if there are any cameras that should remain disabled you will need to disable them after the customer was enabled.

⚠️ For more information on disabling or deleting the customer, please visit this page↗️

⚠️ NOTE: When filling in the Customer or the Integrator address details ensure the browser autofill is disabled. With autofill enabled the Google Maps widget does not recognize the address in the search address and this causes the Address, City/Town, State/Province, Postal Code, and Country to be locked and you won't be able to proceed to customer creation.

To fix the issue please ensure to select the correct address from the results returned from google as shown below.

This will automatically fill in the rest of the address information and the form will be auto-completed, as shown below.
