This article will focus on the integration of our system with Pabbly Connect, an integration platform that lets you connect different web applications and automate workflows. Coding is not required, as you can create workflows visually through a drag-and-drop interface.
The process involves three general steps:
Begin by logging into Pabbly and establishing a webhook connection with our system.
Configure the JSON conversion process through Pabbly.
Create a spreadsheet and link it to Pabbly.
1. Log into Pabbly and establish a webhook connection with our system
Log into Pabbly and click Access Now under Pabbly Connect.
Click on Create Workflow.
Input the desired name for the workflow and click on Create.
Select Webhook as the Application.
You will be presented with a Webhook URL, click on Copy.
Log into your 3dEYE admin portal, and select the appropriate Customer account for which you would like to create the webhook. Afterwards, click on Alerts.
Select the Webhooks tab and click on Create Webhook.
Select the Delivery Method as HTTP(S), and input the desired name for the Webhook. Copy the URL from Pabbly in the URL field. Leave the HTTP Method as POST. Click on Next.
Select your desired Event type. For our example we will be utilizing License Plate Detection, therefore selecting License plate as the Event type. Click on next.
⚠️Note: In our platform, "Analytics" refers to any object detection event generated either by our platform or by smart cameras. When setting up webhooks, selecting "Analytics" as an event trigger equates to selecting object detection.
Select the Role with the desired Camera devices added (please click here↗️ to find out more about roles and their function). Select 3dEYE JSON as the Payload type. Click on Create.
Click on Confirm Response to receive a webhook from our system into Pabbly (make sure Simple Response is checked off). The initial webhook delivery to Pabbly might require some time, and the duration of this wait will be determined by the chosen event type.
2. Configure the JSON conversion process through Pabbly.
Scroll down and choose JSON Extractor as the Application for the second step.
Assign Extract JSON Data as the Action Event.
Click on Connect.
Data will start populating into the text data from our system. Please allow some time to receive the data.
3. Create a spreadsheet and link it to Pabbly.
Scroll down and click on the plus symbol. You will need to choose a Spreadsheet application to gather the data into. For our example, we are using Google Sheets. Create a Google Sheets Spreadsheet with appropriate columns for collection.
Assign Add New Row as the Action Event. Click on Connect.
You will be prompted to Sign in with Google. Go ahead and do so, selecting the newly created or one of the existing spreadsheets afterward.
Pabbly will automatically generate the fields under the selected Sheet, according to the columns in your Spreadsheet. You will have to manually assign the JSON fields from the webhook to the generated fields.
Pabbly will start to automatically populate extracted data into the appropriate fields in your spreadsheet.
