How to add TVT camera using P&P method

Step 1

Upgrade the camera using push-enabled firmware. Connect the camera to the network, access its web interface, and navigate to Config > Maintenance > Upgrade.

Click Browse, select the push-enabled firmware file, download the latest firmware here↗️, and click Upgrade; do not disconnect or power off the camera during the process.

To upgrade multiple cameras simultaneously, use the Upgrade Tool, which can be downloaded here↗️.

Step 2

Configure camera network settings. After the camera is updated check its network settings and adjust it if needed. Ensure that camera has access to the Internet. From the Config menu go to Network and click on the TCP/IP option. Obtain an IP address automatically also known as Automatic IP or DHCP mode is recommended. If using a Static IP address check the Default router and Primary DNS server settings.

Step 3

Configure the camera clock. Ensure that the camera clock is configured correctly. From the Config menu go to System and click on the Date and Time option. Configure time according to your needs making sure that the camera will have the correct clock settings for its location.

Step 4

Copy Registration code. Next, open the Basic Information page from the Config menu of the camera.

Copy MAC address. Remove all colons from this sequence and add TVT at the beginning of the sequence to obtain the Registration code.

For example, the above camera MAC address is 00:11:aa:b2:3c:4d so the resulting Registration code will be tvt0011aab22c4d

Step 5

Add the camera to the customer account. Use your camera's Registration Code in the Admin portal↗️ to add the camera using the P&P option.

From the Admin Portal go to the Cameras tab and click the Add button, select the P2P option. Input Registration code obtained from the camera. Type in the desired camera name. Select Custom Credentials. Select one of the billing options. Click the Create button.

3dEYE will automatically find the camera and create a path to it. You will gain access to ONVIF compliant camera settings directly from the 3dEYE admin portal.

If you use one of the Fixed plans then our system will adjust camera settings for you. On the "Pay as you go" plan you will need to specify desired stream quality settings once the camera is added to our system.
