How to add i-PRO Camera using P&P method

Overview

This guide walks through installing the 3dEYE Push Module on an i-PRO network camera using the camera's built-in web interface. Follow each step in order. The entire process takes approximately 2–5 minutes.

Prerequisites

• The 3dEYE Push Module .ext file provided by 3dEYE support: Download↗️

• Access to the i-PRO camera web interface (admin credentials required).

• A stable network connection to the camera during installation.

Step 1: Identify Your Camera Platform

Before installing, you need to confirm which platform (SoC) your i-PRO camera uses, so you can select the correct Push Module .ext file. Download the datasheet for your camera model from the i-PRO website and look for the System on Chip (SoC) row in the specifications table.

Note: In this example, the SoC is Ambarella CV25M, which means the correct Push Module file is the ambaCV2X variant. Contact 3dEYE support if you are unsure which file to use for your camera model.

Step 2: Open Camera Settings

Log in to the camera's web interface. On the main live view page, click the gear icon (⚙) located in the top-right corner of the page.

Step 3: Navigate to Detailed Settings → Ext. Software

A settings panel will appear below the top bar. Click "Detailed setting" on the right side, then click the Ext. Software icon (the puzzle-piece gear icon on the left of the sub-menu).

Step 4: Choose the Push Module File

The Ext. Software management page will open. Scroll down to the file upload section. Click "Choose File" and browse to the 3dEYE Push Module .ext file provided to you.

Step 5: Select the .ext File

In the file browser, select the 3dEYE Push Module file (e.g., 3deyePushModule_V1_0_ambaCV2X.ext). Confirm the selection.

Step 6: Execute the Installation

The filename will appear next to the "Choose File" button confirming your selection. Make sure "Install new Ext. software" is selected, then click the "Execute" button.

Step 7: Confirm the Installation Prompt

A confirmation dialog will appear: "The ext. software will be installed. Proceed?" — Click OK to continue.

Step 8: Wait — Installation in Progress

The camera will display a message confirming installation has started. Do not close the browser or turn off the camera power until installation is complete.

Note: Do not navigate away from this page or power-cycle the camera during installation.

Step 9: Installation Progress Screen

A "Currently installing" progress screen will appear. Wait until this screen clears automatically — this may take 1–3 minutes.

Step 10: Verify Installation Success

Once complete, the Ext. Software page will reload and list the "3dEYE Push Module" with Status: Operable. Click "Setup >>" to proceed to configuration.

Step 11: Open Push Module Settings

In the left navigation panel, under Ext. Software, click "3dEYE Push Modu..." to open the push module's configuration page.

The 3dEYE Push Module configuration screen will display the following fields confirming a successful installation:

• Register Code — unique code to register this camera on the 3dEYE platform.

• Local IP — the camera's current IP address.

• HTTP Port — default 8083.

• RTSP Port — default 554.
