Step 1: Determine your NVR model
Depending on the NVR model different firmware should be used. To determine which firmware to use first establish what series your NVR belongs to. Either look it up on the NVR itself or from the NRS web interface on the Basic setup page lookup the NVR model.
Note: When integrating cameras into the NVR, it is strongly recommended to use the RTSP (Generic) method, or at minimum, the ONVIF protocol
Step 2: Download appropriate firmware according to your device model
Step 3: Upgrade your NVR
Go to the Maintenance menu and select the Maintenance option. From here click on the Local Upgrade tab and click on the Browse button to locate the downloaded firmware. Click upgrade after the appropriate file is selected. Wait for the NVR to complete the upgrade process, the unit will reboot at the end of the process.
Step 4: Setup NVR network configuration
Open the Network menu and select the TCP/IP option. Make sure that the network configuration of the NVR is appropriate for the local network it is connected to. If using a Static IP address make sure that the Default Gateway and DNS Server addresses are correct.
Step 5: Check NVR's clock configuration
From the System menu, open the Time option and make sure that the NVR's clock is configured properly. Some routers will block access to the internet for the devices that have incorrect time or even incorrect time zone for the location where they are used.
Step 6: Obtain Registration code
From the Network menu select the P2P option and copy Register Code.
Step 7: Adding NVR on 3dEYE
Add NVR in the Admin Portal↗️ using the Registration code from Step 6.
From the Customers table click on the customer to whom you want to add the camera then click on the Cameras menu on the customer menu level and use the Add button to integrate the camera.
In the window that will appear select the P&P Camera option.
Input the camera's Registration code and provide the camera's user credentials. Next, choose the billing plan and click the Create button.
Step 8: Add Multiple Cameras from NVR
To add more than one camera from the same NVR use the ONVIF option for the second and following cameras. Because NVR already has a push module installed you do not need to create port forwarding rules on your router, the push module will create a tunnel through which all cameras that are connected to the NVR can be accessed.
From the Customers table click on the customer to whom you want to add the camera then click on the Cameras menu on the customer menu level and use the Add button to integrate the camera.
In the window that will appear select the ONVIF camera option
Select the Registration code as the Connection Mode. Enter the registration code and then select the video protocol and the HTTP protocol. Enter the ONVIF user credentials and then click on Get channels to get and select the camera profile to be used from the camera. Click on Create to add the camera to the system.
Repeat this step as many times as needed to create enough copies for all cameras that are connected to the NVR.
