Step 1: Download and install the Windows push installer app
To add a push module to Uniview cameras download, install, and run the Push firmware installer app↗️ for Windows. At this time the Push firmware installer application is available only on the Windows operating system.
Make sure you are using the latest version, currently v1.0.3, to ensure compatibility with the maximum number of models.
When the app starts it will automatically discover all cameras on your local network and show you the cameras' model, IP address and provide fields to enter user name and password.
If some of the cameras were not discovered automatically use the Add device manually button to add a camera using its IP address and ports.
Step 2: Enter camera credentials
To add a push module to the camera administrator-level user credentials have to be entered for every camera. If the credentials are the same on all cameras you can either manually enter the password for every camera or use the Change credentials button at the bottom of the app to provide username and password for all cameras at once.
Step 3: Upgrade cameras
You can either add a push module to an individual camera or to multiple cameras at once or even to all cameras on your network. To choose multiple cameras select the checkbox for every camera you want to add a push module to or use the Select all button to select all cameras with one click.
To start the upgrade process click on the Upgrade or Upgrade selected button to start the upgrade process. Wait for the process to complete, do not turn off your computer or close the app while the upgrade is ongoing.
After the app has started the upgrade process you will see the Register code in the box with the camera. Copy this code and use it in the Admin portal to register the camera as P&P.
To avoid problems with cameras we recommend having computer and cameras connected to the same switch with a stable power supply to ensure that the process will be completed successfully.
Step 4: Register the camera
Add a camera in the Admin Portal↗️ using the Registration code.
From the Customers table click on the customer to whom you want to add the camera then click on the Cameras menu on the customer menu level and use the Add button to integrate the camera. In the window that will appear select the P&P Camera option.
Input the camera's Registration code and provide the camera's user credentials. Next, choose the billing plan and click the Create button.
