Hikvision G5 series cameras can be integrated using the P&P method but the integration steps for this series are different than for the other Hikvision series. To learn how to integrate other Hikvision models please visit this page↗️
To confirm that your camera belongs to the G5 series open the System Settings menu and look under the "Firmware Version Property" line:
Step 1:
Download the push-enabled firmware for the G5 series camera:
G5 series push-enabled firmware↗️
Step 2:
Upgrade the camera using downloaded firmware.
To upgrade the firmware go to System=>Maintainance=>Upgrade and Maintainance, browse to find the location where you saved the firmware, and click the "Upgrade" button.
Step 3:
Configure camera network settings.
Then configure camera internet access. Starting from TCP/IP settings, DHCP configuration is recommended.
If using a manual IP address configuration ensure that the camera has access to the Internet. Check the “Default Gateway” and “preferred DNS” server fields and make sure they are valid for your location.
Important: If your network has a firewall, allow output TCP traffic to port 443.
Check that the HTTP port is set to 80 and the RTSP port is set to 554 (custom values are not supported)
Step 4:
Configure the camera clock.
Make sure the camera clock is configured correctly. NTP configuration is recommended. Additionally, doing an NTP test will help confirm that all other network settings are correct. If the NTP test fails check the NTP server address, if it is correct check Default Gateway and DNS server settings.
Step 5:
Configure ONVIF.
Next, Enable ONVIF services on the camera. Go to Network => Advanced Settings => Integration protocol and click on the box to select "Enable Open Network Video Interface"
Step 6:
Obtaining the registration code.
For this series, the registration code is generated from the MAC address of the camera plus the prefix "HIG5". To copy the MAC address of the camera go to Network => Basic Settings => TCP/IP and look for the MAC Address line:
To obtain the registration code remove all columns from the MAC address and paste it after the "HIG5" prefix, for the above example the registration code would be:
HIG5C06DED65A5C2
Use this code when adding the camera in the admin portal.
Step 7:
From the Admin Portal, navigate to the Cameras tab and click Add. Select the P&P option and enter the Registration Code obtained from the camera in Step 6. Enter the desired Camera Name. If the camera’s login credentials have been changed from the factory defaults, select Use Custom Credentials and enter the new credentials. Use the credentials of the ONVIF user created in the previous steps. Next, select one of the available billing options and click Create. 3dEYE will automatically detect the camera and establish a connection path to it.
