Currently, only the DH-SD6C3432XB-HNR-AGQ-PV model can be added using the P&P method. If your Dahua camera is a different model, please reference this article for instructions on how to add it to the 3dEYE Gateway↗️.
To add a Dahua camera using the P&P method, you will need to add our push module application and license key file to the camera. The Push Module application for Dahua cameras can be downloaded here↗️, and its corresponding license key can be located here↗️.
After downloading the files above, in order to add the Push Module to your camera, please reference the steps listed below:
Step 1:
Configure the camera's network and time settings according to its location requirements. Additionally, you will want to ensure that the camera can access the internet and also is able to resolve DNS addresses.
After confirming the above, go to the Network menu in the camera and click on TCP/IP tab. It is recommended to use DHCP (automatic) IP configuration, however if Static is required, please ensure that the correct Default router and Primary DNS server values are used.
Once complete, go to the General menu and select the Date & Time tab to configure the camera's clock to the appropriate time zone. It is recommended to use NTP synchronization here to ensure that the camera's clock is set to the correct time.
Step 2:
Go to the Network menu and select the ONVIF tab. Once there, click the "On" checkbox to enable ONVIF Authentication and then click "Save." This will allow ONVIF protocols to be used with the camera.
Step 3:
Go to the Applications menu, then click the App Center menu. Once there, click the Browse button, navigate to and select the Dahua push module application↗️ file we downloaded at the beginning of this article.
Next, click the Install button to upload the Push Module into the camera. Once the 3dEYE Push Module application appears in the table of applications, click the Update arrow to add the aforementioned license key file↗️ to the application as shown below:
After adding the license key to the application, click the Green "start" arrow to initialize the push module. Wait for the push module to start, and when the "Running Status" changes to "Running," click the "Setup" button to view the Registration code of the camera.
NOTE:
If your particular camera does not have the Application menu, update it with the DHOP version of firmware↗️.
Step 4:
Navigate to the 3dEYE Admin Portal↗️ and add the camera using the Registration code that was generated in Step 3.
Under the Customers table located at the top left next to "Dashboard," click the customer for whom you wish to add the camera, then click on the Cameras tab. This will take you to the customer level menu where in which you will use the "Add" button to integrate the camera in to the 3dEYE Platform as shown below:
In the resulting form after clicking the "P&P Camera" option, enter the camera's Registration code (obtained in Step 3) and provide the camera's user credentials. Next, choose the billing plan you wish to attach to the camera, then click the "Create" button.
Excellent work! You've now added your Dahua camera to the 3dEYE Platform using the Push Module.
