Troubleshooting
This can happen sometimes when the camera's default password is not changed from the camera settings. This acts as a security measure to prevent unauthorized access to the camera's features and functions in situations where users forget to change the password or do not understand the potential security risks associated with exposing the camera to remote access.
Often, when a default password is used on the camera, some or even all remote control features like PTZ, dual audio, digital outputs, etc. will be disabled until the password is changed to a more secure one.
Step 1: Change the Password
To use the remote control features, the first step is to change the default password to a more secure one.
Step 2: Reboot the Camera
Then make sure to reboot the camera and log in again with the new password to ensure the settings were saved.
Step 3: Update the password on the 3dEYE platform
Change the password with the new one in the 3dEYE platform by going into the camera setting and then as well for the camera.
Step 4: Try Remote Controlling the Camera Features
After saving the new password in the platform, try using the remote control feature again to ensure the features are working now on the 3dEYE Platform.
