3dEYE is a cloud-based video surveillance and analytics platform that eliminates the need for dedicated on-site AI hardware. It supports multiple sites, cameras, NVRs, speakers, and other IP/ONVIF devices.
Device Integration
3dEYE supports multiple integration methods:
ONVIF – Connect ONVIF-compliant devices using port forwarding.
RTSP/RTMP – Connect devices providing H.264 streams using port forwarding.
3dEYE Push – Provides a secure, direct cloud connection without opening inbound ports. It supports bidirectional communication, Dual Audio, I/O, and other supported camera functions, with data encrypted from the camera to the cloud.
When connecting cameras through an NVR, RTSP (Generic) is recommended, or ONVIF where RTSP is not available.
3dEYE Gateway
The 3dEYE Gateway securely connects local devices to the cloud without requiring inbound port forwarding. It automatically discovers ONVIF devices and handles network changes such as IP, DHCP, ISP, and DNS changes.
V1 Gateway: Supports up to approximately 50 cameras.
V2 Gateway: Supports up to approximately 200 cameras.
Actual capacity depends on the site's available upload bandwidth.
Larger deployments can use multiple Gateways.
Provides a secure, encrypted, bidirectional connection.
Supports automation for devices such as lights, gates, and IP speakers.
Efficient Video Streaming
3dEYE supports ONVIF-compliant cameras and custom integrations for many camera brands. Cameras can use dual-stream configurations, such as H.265 for local recording and H.264 for cloud analytics.
There are no fixed minimum or maximum bitrate requirements. Resolution and bitrate can be adjusted according to available bandwidth and data limits.
Alarm Monitoring & Automation
The platform provides alarm monitoring with video verification and supports smart object detection to help reduce false alarms.
Automated actions can include:
Turning lights on/off
Playing messages through IP speakers
Controlling supported devices
3dEYE integrates with monitoring platforms such as Immix, Bold SIMS/Manitou, and ESI and supports event delivery through Webhooks, HTTP(S), SMTP, JSON, and XML.
Multi-Platform Access
3dEYE is accessible through:
Web browsers
Android applications
iOS applications
It also supports camera, clip, and event sharing, widgets, and API/webhook integrations.
Secure Video Storage
Video footage is stored on Amazon S3 with multi-zone redundancy, providing reliable and durable cloud storage.
Internet Connectivity & Local Storage
If internet connectivity is interrupted, 3dEYE will reconnect automatically when the connection is restored. Devices supporting ONVIF Profile G can synchronize archives after reconnection.
For additional redundancy, cameras can also record locally using an NVR or SD card.
3dEYE also supports deployments using cellular modems, Smart SIMs, and custom ISP solutions for locations with limited connectivity.
Power Protection
No dedicated on-site AI hardware is required. However, cameras and network equipment should be protected using suitable UPS/battery backup and surge protection. Solar or other backup power solutions can also be used where required.
