Can I add DNS names to my firewall fules to allow traffic only to 3dEYE servers

In case you want to limit the outbound traffic from your network to a specific DNS, you can create a rule to *.3deye.me

In case you want to limit inbound traffic from 3dEYE servers into your network, you cant use DNS resolve. Behind a single DNS name, there are registered 100s of servers. DNS resolve would return single server IP in a round-robin fashion.

For example, in case you port-forwarded camera and want to limit access to it from the internet using IP addresses from 3dEYE DNS, you cant use resolved DNS addresses. Such IP addresses are subject to change.

In case you are trying to lock down the network and you have cameras that don’t support encrypted push module – we provide 3dEYE Gateway. 3dEYE Gateway will create an encrypted tunnel between cameras and 3dEYE Cloud. And even allows webhook calls from the cloud into the local network in a secure fashion.

For example, you can active network speakers based on human detection at a specific time in a specific area.
