Introduction
If you're facing issues where Sunell cameras are consistently generating analytics, despite no visible activity on-site, and playback shows a black screen with no footage, there could be misconfigurations in the camera settings.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to resolving these problems:
Check Object Detection Settings
The first step is to ensure that object detection is not enabled on any of the camera detectors. This feature can sometimes misinterpret static objects or environmental factors as a person, resulting in false analytics.
Go into the camera’s settings and verify that all object detection features are turned off. Even if the camera isn’t visually detecting anything on-site, these detections may still trigger false events.
Disable AI Multi-object Detection
Another critical setting to check is the AI Multi-object Detection feature on the camera WebUI. This option, if enabled, will continue to analyze footage and send object detection events even if all detectors on the camera are disabled.
The AI Multiobject Detection uses RTSP metadata streams to detect and log object events, which can lead to erroneous reports being listed in the alarm station and event list.
Confirm System Compatibility
Lastly, ensure that the camera software and playback systems are fully compatible and up to date. Outdated firmware or software can sometimes cause glitches that result in incorrect analytics and playback errors.
By following these steps and carefully reviewing the camera settings, you should be able to resolve the issues of false Object detections and black screen playback.
