3dEYE’s cloud infrastructure is currently hosted in the AWS US East region. This means that customers located outside the United States are generally served by the existing US East deployment unless a different regional hosting arrangement has been explicitly planned with 3dEYE.
Data Residency and Regional Hosting Requirements
Some customers and projects may have strict data residency, regulatory, or regional hosting requirements. If a project requires video data, metadata, or cloud services to be hosted in a specific geographic region, 3dEYE can evaluate the requirement and determine whether a dedicated regional deployment is feasible.
Deploying and maintaining infrastructure in an additional AWS region requires significant operational and financial investment. As a result, regional hosting outside the USA is typically considered only for large‑scale deployments.
General Guideline
Projects in the range of 10,000+ cameras are typically the scale at which establishing infrastructure in an additional AWS region may become viable.
Smaller deployments are generally best served by the existing AWS US East infrastructure.
Factors Considered for Regional Deployment
When reviewing a request for a dedicated regional deployment, 3dEYE may evaluate:
Expected camera count
Deployment timeline
Regulatory or compliance requirements
Mandatory data residency needs
Long‑term growth expectations
Infrastructure and operational complexity
Overall project commitment
Each request is reviewed individually based on the project’s specific requirements.
